Bess Stewart

(they/them)

Bess graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2018, knowing they had an interest in pelvic health and gender-affirming healthcare. More recently, they’ve discovered a deep interest in the role of nervous system safety and how polyvagal theory can help inform physiotherapist’s can and should work with neurocomplex folks in practice.

Over the past 7 years Bess has dedicated their clinical interest to improving accessibility of pelvic health physiotherapy for all people, no matter how they identify. They have a specific interest in persistent pain, sexual dysfunction, and integrative healthcare.

With a solid foundation in anatomy and physiology from their initial studies in Biomedical Science, Bess aims to understand the "why & how" of every individual they work with.

As a disabled neurocomplex individual, Bess brings a unique and empathetic perspective to their practice.
