Our Services
At Embodied Physiotherapy, our services are grounded in a holistic, person-centred approach. We recognise that every body is different, and that health is shaped by more than just physical structures. Our goal is to support every body with care that is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to their individual needs, experiences, and goals.
-
We work with you to understand your body in context—your history, your symptoms, your goals, and what feels safe and sustainable for you.
Our approach may include:
Gentle, individualised movement and exercise
Support to build confidence and trust in your body
Education about pain and how it works
Strategies to reduce flare-ups and improve day-to-day function
Adaptations to meet sensory, cognitive, or emotional needs
We prioritise collaboration, pacing, and trauma-aware care, recognising that no two experiences of pain are the same. The focus is not just on reducing pain, but on helping you move in ways that feel possible, supportive, and meaningful.
-
Our approach focuses on supporting people with complex and chronic health conditions in ways that are practical, respectful, and aligned with their goals.
This may include functional capacity and continence assessments, therapy reports, and ongoing capacity-building support. We offer sessions in the home or via telehealth to improve accessibility and reduce barriers to care.
We work with participants of all ages and neurotypes, and our care is grounded in a trauma-aware, neuro-affirming approach that recognises the impact of lived experience on health, movement, and engagement in therapy.
-
We provide inclusive, trauma-aware support for a wide range of concerns, including bladder and bowel symptoms, pelvic pain, menstrual health, and sexual function. Care is tailored to you, with options that prioritise safety, consent, and comfort at every step.
Our approach is gender-affirming and sensory-considerate, and we work collaboratively with you to understand your goals, preferences, and boundaries. This might include education, movement-based strategies, nervous system support, and—only where appropriate and with clear consent—hands-on assessment.
